Finishing touches added!

I was delighted to receive these photos of two of the puppets following our October workshops for children. The clever finishing touches and scary details were completed at home. 

 Thank you Lois and Isobel, they really look fantastic! 

October Half Term Workshops are well supported by local children.

Be Creative. 

Our workshops for children, took place over three mornings. Take a look at the fabulous work achieved by all the children who attended. (...and for those who did join in with the activities, I hope you are pleased with your lovely art and craft pieces).

Day Two 

Create felt and make pebbles, soaps and beads

 whilst exploring the craft of felting. 

                           

Can you spot your design?

Beautifully felted soaps and pebbles werre made
and a selection of very well rolled beads that could
 be used to create jewellery or simple animals.


Day Three

 Design and create a ceramic puppet head with simple cloth body.

Fabulous designs plus

some careful modelling

plus imagination.

The result- 

 

 


 

To complete the puppet.

First let the Air- dry clay dry out very well. 

The dry clay will feel much lighter and turn lighter grey in colour. 

Paint the head with white base colour. Use poster paint. 

Add more colours if preferred.

Be Creative - at West End Gallery 

Be Creative provides opportunities for children during the holidays to experience practical activities in art, craft and ceramics. Each morning workshop is a separate session, suitable for Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 Children (age 7 -13 years)  Cost:- £10.00 per child. Time:- 10.30 - 12.30.
